Longines Watch Co. is one of the oldest watch manufactures from Switzerland with a wonderful and unmatched history of invention, innovation, patents and awards. Longines made some of the most beautiful watches ever made! This stunning timepiece is a perfect example, a vintage Longines Mainliner wristwatch dated from 1942. This is an IMMACULATE piece that really embodies Logines unique design language. This watch features a very interesting caged case that makes it very UNIQUE. The cage reminds one of the train tracks, hence its name.
The main case has a wonderful, framed design with long tonneau curved bar sides and rounded, arched bars running across each end. In the center is the round watch section with a smooth bezel. The lugs are all in one with the sides. It is all in 10K yellow gold filled. It has a silver dial with gold applied hour marks, Arabic Numerals and matching hands. The dial has a fancy black outer minute mark and it is signed with the Longines name as well, the second hand is located at 6. This Longines Mainliner has a Swiss caliber 10L, 17 jewels movement, sub-second hand. This watch is coming with a vintage "Genuine Lambskin Hadley Roma" brown leather strap.
After +75 years, it is still an unique and very good looking watch, it is in LOVELY condition, keeps good time and runs very well. Without doubt, this is a Longines collectible through and through and a true jewel on the wrist. "Every Longines is also a fine piece of jewelry."

This indeed magnifies any flaws. Usually, they are much less obvious to the naked eye. Having said that, we never photoshop any of our photography, remove blemishes, etc. We adjust light when necessary, but what you see is what you are getting, and we take pride in that.
The condition is pre-owned.
The item may have some signs of cosmetic wear, but is fully operational and functions as intended.
