ETERNA-MATIC Watch Co. - "First gents automatic-family with ball-bearing rotor".

Eterna-Matic movement, one of a number of innovations by Eterna, was developed in 1948 as an improved self-winding mechanism using five strategically placed ball bearings in order to reduce friction and resistance on the oscillating weight that wound the watch. The effect was to make the movement more efficient and reduce the wear and tear on internal components.

Very nice timepiece! It is a vintage Eterna-Matic automatic wristwatch, reference 8491.41 and dated from the 1990s.

It is self-winding watch powered by an Eterna-Matic movement, caliber ETA 2681, 25 jewels, hack mechanism, sweep second, date (quickset) indicator, 28,800 A/h, 39 hours power reserve, Swiss made.

The beautiful navy-blue textured dial features silver baton hour markers, white minute/second track, and silver/luminous matching hands. The date indicator is located at 6 o’clock and the dial is also signed with the Eterna-Matic name and five-dot logo (five ball bearings used in the movement).

Elegant and unique, the 25.6x34.5mm stainless-steel tank case with fancy lug design, display case back. This watch comes with a brand-new black alligator Genuine Leather Water-proof two-piece strap. 

This watch is in very good condition! Runs very well and keep great time!

Having said that, we never photoshop any of our photography, remove blemishes, etc. We adjust lighting when necessary, but what you see is what you are getting, and we take pride in that.
